We hired Anna from Bon Melange for a 30th birthday party, and she was absolutely amazing! Her drinks were delicious, expertly crafted, and a huge hit with our guests. She brought such a great vibe—friendly, easy to talk to, and incredibly professional. She handled everything smoothly, making sure all 30-40 guests had a great experience. Annabelle was amazing! She was so sweet and worked with us on all the drinks we wanted. My plans fell through last minute and she came to save the day at my event! We hosted a Halloween Party for about 30 adults. I explained the theme and we created a few signature cocktails. Agnes sent over a very cute menu, the items I needed to provide, and what she would provide. I told her what time the party would start, what time she would be done,  what the atmosphere would be like (there's a DJ, Photo Booth, costume contest, its a lively event!) since this was my 7th year hosting it with friends. I also explained that she should make a batch of the 3 drinks before the party because people are going to be drinking, a lot!

The day of the party she showed up 15 minutes before the party. When guests arrived she was still prepping her stuff. After I was finished getting ready I went to the bar and there were about ten people hanging out just waiting. I asked them what is going on and they were all waiting for a drink. So I went up to her and said that she needed to start cranking them out and not make one by one. Ask a few people what they want. As the evening wore on a guest came up to me and said Agnes was snappy with her and seemed upset. I went over there to see if she needed help and realized at that point it was a mess. Guests were pouring their own wine, making their own vodka soda's, bourbon and coke, etc (pretty basic drinks). I then said to her this is not the kind of party where someone will know if you put 4 shakes of bitters in instead of 3 so can you make them a bit faster. That did not seem to resonate because I kept getting complaints. At some point I just gave up and did not go say anything else to her. 

She was scheduled to stop serving/working at 12 midnight. The price agreed on was $500 for the time. Another host walked over at midnight to make sure she was finishing up and she was. Around 12:30am the same host saw her standing in the kitchen and asked if everything was ok. She said she was looking for me. He explained I was in the back of the house and he could help her. She said she needed to be paid. He knew the amount was $500 so he gave her cash. She then told him he would need to pay her another $50 because she was waiting around for 30 minutes. I did not know this until the next day in which I was upset. 

I felt the service was subpar. If you know you are going into a party with 30 adults you should be able to get drinks out quickly and not compromise taste. Restaurants do it all the time. The icing on the cake for me was her requesting the extra $50 for waiting around. She had my cell phone number and could have called me. Overall I was disappointed.

Bob Melange cocktails was a joy to work with! They were very responsive, we’re able to accommodate everything I wanted and made a personalized menu.
